GJ: What simple change has unexpectedly transformed your life?

Experiencing direct sunlight immediately upon waking and consciously avoiding my phone for the first 30 minutes of the day has been a game-changer. This simple shift has significantly improved my mornings and overall well-being.

Which city reigns supreme as the best in the world?

Currently, Los Angeles holds the top spot as my favorite city globally. Its vibrant energy and diverse culture resonate with me.

What is your go-to insult, your favorite term of playful derision?

Being of Greek heritage, I’d have to say “malaka.” It carries a certain weight and versatility in its usage.

Elaborate on your pre-sleep ritual. How do you ensure a restful night?

I make a conscious effort to disconnect from screens at least an hour before bedtime. This practice helps to calm my mind and prepare for sleep.

Beyond therapy sessions, what alternative form of therapy do you advocate?

I wholeheartedly recommend a daily practice of writing three pages by hand, first thing each morning. The content can be anything that comes to mind – a stream of consciousness exercise that is incredibly therapeutic.

Which podcast consistently earns your recommendation?

I am currently engrossed in several podcasts: ‘Diary of a CEO,’ ‘Joe Rogan,’ ‘Andrew Huberman,’ and ‘Modern Wisdom.’ Each offers unique insights and perspectives.

Reflecting on past advice, which piece do you regret not heeding earlier?

The advice to not be overly concerned with the opinions of others is something I continually strive to internalize. It’s a concept that is far easier to articulate than to consistently practice.

Describe your personal uniform. Is there a signature style you adhere to?

My daily uniform predominantly consists of a James Perse t-shirt, Spoke jeans, and Nike sneakers. I tend to invest more in quality sneakers and Loro Piana jackets or sweaters, particularly when I am in London.

What is your most cherished time of day or night?

I am a morning person through and through. I adore mornings and breakfast. My peak productivity and happiness levels are typically during the early to late morning hours.

In your opinion, which accent is the most refined and pleasing to the ear?

This is subjective, but I appreciate my own London accent. It’s a London inflection, but not excessively posh, and it’s common among my circle of friends. I find the overly exaggerated “rah rah” Eton/Prince William type of accent rather grating.

Recount your most extravagant purchase to date.

My most extravagant purchase was undoubtedly a Bentley Continental GT car. It represents a significant indulgence.

Do recurring dreams feature in your subconscious landscape?

I frequently experience nightmares of being back at Oxford University, facing the daunting prospect of an exam for which I am completely unprepared.

Define the quintessential aperitif.

An extra-dirty martini is, in my opinion, the finest aperitif. It’s a classic and sophisticated choice.

What is the most rewarding aspect of aging?

The most significant benefit of getting older is the gradual attainment of genuine self-acceptance and comfort with one’s chosen path in life.

Share your top tip for effective public speaking.

The natural, primal response to nervousness is to tense up, lean forward, and cross your arms – a manifestation of the fight-or-flight response. I have found that consciously opening my arms wide and projecting my chest outward can effectively trick the mind into believing there is no threat.

“Nothing worse than the ‘rah rah’ Eton/Prince William accent”

Recall a childhood fear you successfully overcame.

As a child, I was extremely shy and withdrawn, comfortable only around a very select few. I have progressed to a point where I can confidently engage in conversation with almost anyone, devoid of fear or hesitation.

I even found myself seated next to Elon Musk at a dinner event last year, and to my surprise, I felt no nervousness whatsoever. We connected initially through a shared appreciation for memes, and the remainder of the dinner was remarkably enjoyable.

Identify your favorite piece of art.

For reasons I can’t fully articulate, I am consistently drawn to and fascinated by the works of Lucio Fontana. His spatial concepts are particularly compelling.

Which quotation frequently resonates in your thoughts?

A Drake lyric from the song ‘Fair Trade’ often echoes in my mind: “I’ve been losing friends and finding peace, honestly that sounds like a fair trade to me.” It speaks to the value of inner peace over superficial connections.

Which seemingly minor thing provokes disproportionate irritation?

It is incredibly irritating when engaged in a conversation with someone who avoids eye contact or is constantly glancing at their phone. It signals a lack of engagement and respect.

What is your most treasured pair of shoes?

The Travis Scott Jordan 1 Retro Low Reverse Mocha sneakers are currently my favorite pair of shoes. They are both stylish and comfortable.

What is one indulgence that is consistently worth the extra expense?

Flights are undoubtedly worth paying more for. As someone who is 6ft 5in tall, flying long distances without the ability to fully recline is exceedingly uncomfortable. Comfort during long-haul travel is a necessity, not a luxury.

What is your preferred dessert indulgence?

I am currently obsessed with the French toast at LPM London and the half-baked cookie at Scorpios Mykonos. Both are exceptional dessert experiences.

What are the most valuable lessons imparted by your parents?

My mother instilled in me the essence of unconditional love, humility, respect for others, and the importance of being both ambitious and diligent. My father taught me the invaluable skill of engaging in meaningful conversations with anyone, regardless of their social standing or background.

Who is the most intriguing individual in your personal circle?

I have a friend named Matt Bilinsky who I consider to be exceptionally interesting. He is an incredibly intelligent lawyer and a highly insightful commentator on contemporary affairs and politics.

How would you articulate your personal style aesthetic?

I would describe my personal style as simple, classic, and elegant, but with a contemporary edge. Timeless pieces with modern updates.

Which famous person’s passing had the most profound impact on you?

Probably Virgil Abloh. I had the opportunity to collaborate on a party with him and encountered him socially on several occasions through mutual friends. He was consistently kind, humble, and remarkably intelligent. His loss was deeply felt.

What are you anticipating with pleasure tomorrow?

I find joy in the simple aspects of life. Tomorrow, I am looking forward to flying back to London, going to the gym, and spending time with my closest friends over dinner. These everyday moments are what I cherish.

How would you wish to be remembered?

I aspire to leave a lasting impact through my comedy and, hopefully, my music. My ultimate hope is to depart this world knowing that I positively influenced the lives of many by providing them with laughter at the often absurd nature of the world we inhabit.
